FREEZING YOUR BERRIES
Your berries will last 2-3 days in your refrigerator. If you cannot use them or eat them in that amount of time, you'll want to freeze them. Using Omi's freezing method, you'll be able to pull these berries out to make warm cobblers on cold winter days.
Omi's Freezing Method
1. Wash and drain berries
2. Line a baking sheet with paper towels and lay out the berries no more than 2 high
3. Allow the berries to dry
4. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and let the berries freeze for an hour or two
5. Remove the baking sheet from the freezer, scoop the berries into a freezer bag, label/date, and put back into the freezer.
By allowing your berries to dry and then freeze on the tray before putting them in the bag, you'll be able to easily measure out the amount of berries called for in your recipe.
